Dr Lawrence J. Santora, MD FACC & Dick Butkus NFL Hall of Fame We are extremely grateful to Dr. Santora, Rina Santora R.N. and the Dick Butkus Foundation for continuously providing FREE Heart Scans to our Veterans since Fall of 2009 , that could save a life. The center is now owned by St Joseph's, but they are still providing the FREE heart scans for veterans.
"The heart scan saved my life. The full body scan revealed that I had a serious heart condition with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel." - Dick Butkus, NFL Hall of Fame.
I did my heart scan, and the actual procedure took about 10 minutes, and about 30 minutes to fill out the paperwork. I highly recommend it, as this has given me more information and peace of mind - Commander Francisco J. Barragán.
To qualify: Must be a military veteran, must have DD214; between the age of 35-65 years, and no history of heart problems or heart events. - Let them know you learned about this from UMAVA.
